If you are seeking support in healing a relationship with food or your body then you’re in the right place. The providers specialize in the overlap between emotional distress and food. For some, this emotional distress presents as an eating disorder. Alternatively, we see and treat the food driven behaviors presented in clients with co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, OCD, or depression, distressful relationships with exercise as it pertains to dietary intake, and body image distress as it impacts nutrition.
Divergent does not prescribe weight loss nor promote suppressive dieting practices. We utilize an evidence-based, non-diet approach to food to promote health regardless of size. We are committed to respecting body diversity, challenging the influence of diet culture and weight stigma, and honoring the lived experience of each individual.
Additionally, we partner with athletes to support healthy exercise. At Divergent we believe learning to nourish our bodies before, during, and after exercise is eating disorder prevention. Optimizing sports nutrition to fuel performance, support muscle recovery, and prevent injuries keeps athletes on the field in their life-giving sports. We are proud to partner with the Toledo Rockets as well as the everyday athletes in our communities.
